About Me

Australia I was born and raised in Japan. As I was interested in foreign languages and culture since childhood, I started traveling and backpacking around the world when I was a university student majoring in English Literature. It was so fun and exciting for me to discover new places, meet different people and wake up in different places every day. I became absorbed in traveling quickly. All of the excitement and live experiences made me want to continue traveling. The more I traveled, the longer my trips became.

After graduating from university and completing an extensive study at graduate school, I began to work in the medical industry translating technical documents. I decided to change my career in hopes of gaining more freedom and professional independence. While working in Japan, I attended a computer school. Here I learned Microsoft office software and became interested in learning more about computers. Since I liked surfing internet, and am very creative, I wanted to learn to make web sites.

I graduated from the Post-Graduate Web Design and Development Program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario, Canada in October, 2006. In this program, I have advanced my skills mastering the use of both Mac and Windows platforms. I also learned to use computer software such as Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash. Other skills learned include, E-commerce, Web Marketing and Graphic design. In the future, after gaining more experiences and honing my skills I would like to become a freelance web designer.

Besides traveling, I also like taking photographs, playing the piano, watching movies, reading, cooking and playing with cats.
